A nuclear physicist, he worked for 10 years with physics Nobel laureate Carlo Rubbia at CERN and CRS4, in the field of Accelerator Driven Systems and nuclear waste transmutation. In 2002, he founded Advanced Accelerator Applications, listed on NASDAQ from 2015 until its acquisition by Novartis for $3.9 bn.

A physicist, after a brief spell at CERN, she left physics to embrace the world of finance, working first for leading international consulting companies and then for several Italian commercial banks where for 30 years she developed her strong managerial expertise.

A nuclear engineer, he worked at Ansaldo for 30 years and is a leading expert in Fast Reactor technologies. A Euratom representative and the Chairman of the LFR (Lead Fast Reactors) Steering Committee of the Generation IV International Forum from its inception until 2010, he is the author of most of the world’s LFR-related patents.

Jon brings expertise in capital structure strategy, M&A transactions, and stakeholder management. He played a crucial role in leading GeneDx through a successful $500 million listing at a $3 billion valuation. At Univision Communications, a $3 billion multimedia company, Jon served as SVP Head of Investor Relations & Strategic Finance, where he directed quarterly earnings preparation and managed communications with lenders and PE sponsors.

Ruggero’s experience as a diplomat spans the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and the Balkans. He served as Adjoint Diplomatic Advisor to two Italian Prime Ministers and as a spokesperson for the Foreign Minister. He also served for 5 years as CEO Diplomatic Advisor and Head of International Relations in SNAM, the EU’s largest gas utility. Since June 2022, Ruggero has been the Italian Ambassador to Ireland, with a particular focus on energy transition and tech industries.

Giulia joined newcleo in 2023 as Director of Investor Relations, leading newcleo’s fundraising and investor relations activities and taking on selected strategic projects, while bringing previous experience across marketing, investment banking and strategic consulting. She subsequently took on the role of Chief of Staff, working closely with the leadership team to support strategic priorities, cross-functional coordination and the execution of key corporate initiatives.

Emanuele is a seasoned executive who has held various leadership positions in the energy and environmental sectors. Prior to joining newcleo, he served as the Director of Operations at Sogin SpA in Rome, where he oversaw the decommissioning of nuclear facilities and the safe management of radioactive waste. In addition to leadership roles at companies such as Nucleco SpA, Pramac, Enel, Tecnomare, and CEA Systems, Emanuele holds a PhD in Nuclear and Industrial Safety from the University of Pisa and an Executive MBA from SDA Bocconi.

Stéphane pursued his education in France at IMT-Alès and Mines ParisTech and was nominated as a high senior official (Ingénieur du corps des mines). He worked for 15 years in licensing, environment and safety for different regulators in France and in the UK (ASN, DREAL, ONR). He has also worked for 8 years for the IAEA and the European Commission on licensing, safety and radiation protection. In 2018, he joined the ITER organisation.

Khalil is a UK qualified lawyer experienced in managing legal and compliance risk at a national and international level, with a recognised expertise in nuclear law. Before joining newcleo, Khalil was the General Counsel of Nuclear Transport Solutions (NTS) and prior to NTS, he worked for General Electric. Khalil has supported the UK government in amending its nuclear legislation and he holds a range of leadership positions within the nuclear industry, including as a former judge of the European Nuclear Energy Tribunal and as a member of the IAEA’s expert group on nuclear liability.
